YOUTH MINISTRY ADMIN COORDINATOR

You’ll work with the Executive Pastor and the youth team to develop church-wide strategies for coordinating and moving students (middle & high school) into spiritual growth, authentic community, development, and leadership at Hills Church. You’ll also provide leadership of weekly student programs as well as periodic special events (camps, mission trips, etc.). The Youth Coordinator is also responsible for implementing and carrying a vision to lead middle and/or high school students in a program of evangelism, discipleship, worship and ministry.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- You’ll provide administrative support and execute an assimilation process that enables students to become passionate, contagious followers of Jesus Christ
- You’ll maintain the youth calendar, which includes updating the church and facilities calendar with all the details
- You’ll be responsible for communicating all youth ministry needs - such as requests for graphics, facility reservations, or other program needs
- You’ll help maintain registration lists for all youth ministry programs and events and assisting in communicating details to event registrants
- You’ll create and distribute newsletters, emails, promotional materials, etc.
- You’ll lead, recruit, empower, and build teams of volunteers as needed
- You’ll assist in coordinating and planning the middle and/or high school student ministry group curriculum and oversee monthly activities for students
- You’ll support and assist in planning and executing biblically accurate, culturally relevant, and high energy services for middle and high school students
- You’ll organize and plan camps, retreats, and work with other staff to coordinate local and distant mission experiences - including the annual Mexico mission trip
- You’ll work to improve and implement all of our youth assimilation processes for students to take next steps
- Additional ministry opportunities and administrative responsibilities to be determined based on the church’s needs, and applicant’s gifts, expertise, and experience
- Perform other duties as assigned
MUST-HAVES
- A passion for working with students and an ability to genuinely relate to and challenge them to grow deeper in their faith
- Aptitude for leading both people and tasks
- High-level networking/relational strengths with an ability to execute
- A servant-leader temperament – willing to walk alongside students and serve them
- Growth-orientated, adaptability, and see the potential in those around you
- Ability to make sound, critical decisions under pressure
- A team player with excellent communication and creative skills
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability
- Great attention to detail and time-management skills – very administrative is a must
- Proficient in Google Drive Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, and the use of Mac & PC’s
- Demonstrates an ongoing and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
NICE-TO-HAVES
- Experience working or high-level volunteering for a church, non-profit
- Student ministry experience
- You can appreciate different types of humor and go with the flow
