GROUPS COORDINATOR

You’ll work with the Executive Pastor and Group Coordinator teammates to develop church-wide strategies for coordinating and moving people into authentic community and group life at Hills Church. Our group assimilation process includes all the steps necessary to move people from unconnected to connected members of Hills Church.  The Groups Coordinator is also in charge of recruiting, developing, and leading volunteers to serve and lead groups both on-campus and off. 

 


GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES  

 

  • You’ll direct, strengthen and grow our groups leadership and volunteer teams. (Our Groups Teams consists of women's, men's, marrieds, young adults, activity, and mixed adult groups.)

 

  • You’ll lead, recruit, empower, and build teams of volunteers as needed

 

  • You’ll provide administrative support including tracking group attendance, maintaining our database, reserving meeting spaces, registrations and sign-ups

 

  • You’ll provide on-the-ground campus-wide event support for men’s, married and women’s events and retreats

 

  • You’ll work to improve and implement all of our group assimilation processes for members to take next steps

 

  • Additional ministry opportunities and administrative responsibilities to be determined based on the church’s needs, and applicant’s gifts, expertise, and experience

 

  • Perform other duties as assigned

 


MUST-HAVES

 

  • A passion to see people get connected into authentic Christ-centered community and the passion for working with others for the ability to see them grow deeper in their faith

 

  • Aptitude for leading both people and tasks

 

  • High-level networking/relational strengths with an ability to execute

 

  • A servant-leader temperament – willing to walk alongside people and serve them

 

  • Growth-orientated and see the potential in those around you

 

  • Ability to make sound, critical decisions under pressure

 

  • A team player with excellent communication skills

 

  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability

 

  • Great attention to detail and time-management skills – very administrative

 

  • Proficient in Google Drive Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, and the use of Mac & PC’s

 

  • Demonstrates an ongoing and growing relationship with Jesus Christ

 


NICE-TO-HAVES

 

  • Experience working or high-level volunteering for a church, non-profit

 

  • Management and/or director experience

 

  • You can appreciate different types of humor and go with the flow
