Job Description Summary

  • Support, implement and augment the efforts of the Business Insurance Training & Development Department. Manage the curriculum, delivery and assessment of Business Insurance training initiatives. Deliver all training including new hire, peer, and need-specific training. Design instructional materials in collaboration with the Training & Development Manager to create learning solutions/opportunities for the Business Insurance Department. Provide continuous improvement of learning opportunities to ensure maximum development of our most important asset, our people.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver training based on established procedures determined by Business Insurance Operations to ensure consistent workflows and operational practices.

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate business insurance training content and materials to ensure quality and compliance with Agency strategy, policies, and objectives .

  • Provide continuous improvement of learning opportunities to ensure maximum development of our most important asset, our people.

  • Research, utilize, and remain current with a variety of training methodologies and modalities, techniques, concepts, learning tools, and practices to ensure maximum effectiveness of training delivery.

  • Stay informed regarding insurance technical knowledge, market trends, agency automation, company information, and other operating techniques.

  • Support agency efficiency through process, automation, and data-integrity improvement efforts.

  • Provide on-demand training support as requested by employees.

  • Identify themes, patterns and solutions for recurring training issues or deficits.

  • Develop Quality Control resources based on established procedures.

  • Conduct Quality Control audits for Business Insurance employees.

  • Report results of observed performance and Quality Control audit of the workforce to Management so that additional training can be prescribed and developed.

  • Collaborate with Management in the development of learning solutions designed to support outcomes of Business Insurance audits or assessments that are performed

  • Collaborate with the Business Insurance Training & Development Manager, , Business Insurance Managers, Director of Business Process, and the Director of Business Insurance to identify and direct specific training needs assessments to support the design, development and delivery of improvements to the business insurance training programs.

  • Assist Business Insurance service teams with ongoing projects and day to day responsibilities.

  • Collaborate with R&G Academy in the development of agency-wide learning solutions, as directed by the Training & Development Manager and/or Director of Business Insurance.

  • Consult with the Training & Development Manager on Business Insurance employee training agendas.

  • Schedule training for New Hires and existing employees.

  • Set up carrier credentials for Business Insurance employees, and act as back up for Personal Lines.

  • Maintain the Business Insurance section of the Intranet.

  • All other duties as assigned.

  • Proven ability to interact professionally, patiently and courteously with all employees and carriers.

  • Highly computer literate with advanced knowledge of Epic, and other Agency and Company programs.

  • Maintains confidentiality and discretion with personnel, carriers, and clientele information and situations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Formal education or field experience in Education, Professional Training, or other Adult Learning environment.

  • College Degree preferred.

  • 3-5 years of Commercial insurance experience.

  • Experience managing and implementing training programs and/or Project Management.

  • Experience developing and delivering content and curriculum with ability to accommodate all learning styles.

  • Travel required between all Agency locations is required.

  • Working off normal office hours may be required.
