Thermal Spray Operator

Experience & Skill Preferred:

• 5-10 Years of experience preferred.
• Learn the thermal spray systems: HVOF, ARC, HVAF, Flame, & Plasma. Understand grit blast.
• HVOF Spray Experience
• ARC Spray Experience
• Plasma Spray Experience
• Blasting and Masking experience
• Be able to program a robot for spray.
• Read prints and follow work order travelers. Execute the job in the time allowed on the traveler - or provide feedback on the issues.
• Perform quantity checks on orders leaving the department to ensure that all orders meet specifications.
• Light preventative maintenance on the machines that they use.
• Maintain a clean, orderly work area - includes taking out the trash and cleaning the toilet after yourself.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to standard manufacturing shop environmental conditions. Eye protection is required in shop areas. The noise level in the shop can be loud, and ear protection is to be used where required. Other personal protective equipment may be required as appropriate.

Physical Demands

The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: sit, handle, feel and control items or equipment, talk, hear, see, and be able to read, write, and interpret written documents. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, which is regularly required to view computer screen. Occasionally may need to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

We do require a pre-employment drug screen to be completed and passed prior to starting and to be willing to be placed in a random pool during your employment.
