Rochester Gauges, LLC. , established in 1950 enjoys an enviable reputation as an industry leader in the manufacturing of high quality electro/mechanical liquid level sensors for its OEM customers.Purpose:Responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of assembly and manufacturing departments with all other departments and functions.Essential Responsibilities: Establishes or adjusts work assignments to meet production schedules, using knowledge of capacities of machines and equipment; accomplishes work results, establishes priorities, monitors progress; revises schedules, and resolves problems. Provides project oversight for Manufacturing improvement opportunities.
Achieves results through coordinating and managing the improvement activities within the Manufacturing department. Initiates and implements, with management approval, Lean measures to improve production methods and equipment performance, and suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to... increase efficiency of department.
Assures all departmental quality/process records comply with current ISO/IATF registration standards for documentation control. Assures all employees follow work instructions and ISO/IATF procedures. Maintains work flow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables, observing control points and equipment; implementing cost reductions, developing reporting procedures and systems, facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points.
Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answers questions and responds to requests. Performs as a positive role model, interpreting and enforcing Company policies and procedures to employees. Resolves personnel issues by analyzing data, investigating situations, identifying solutions and recommending action.
Maintains safe and clean work environments by educating and directing employees on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources. Maintains compliance with established policies and procedures. Analyzes and resolves quality problems, excessive scrap and/or assists employees in solving quality problems and implements corrective actions.
Initiates and fosters plans to motivate employees to achieve work goals and to maintain a spirit of cooperation within and between departments. Recommends personnel actions to include promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary measures. Monitors and appraises employees performance and development requirements and conducts Performance Reviews to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Coaches, counsels, and disciplines employees. Takes responsibility and is held accountable for all work performed by subordinates. Responsible for Manufacturing staff recruitment by providing oversight of the selection and orientation of new team members.
Accomplishes results by maintaining the interview process, including new hire testing, and providing assessments on applicants skill sets and recommendations on wage requirements. Responsible for Manufacturing employees attendance; accurately records attendance notes, reviews and approves time worked within set deadlines. Oversees Manufacturing training procedures and continues to develop centralized training documentation control in order to facilitate cross training opportunities and utilization of employee experience.
Maintains for areas of responsibility, maintains operator training database with current information. Monitors use and care of equipment and tools to ensure safe operation and maintenance within Company standards. Ensures operation of equipment by requesting repairs.Environment:Industrial machining/assembly production atmosphere with and/or without air-conditioning.
