Job Description

SUMMARY: 

The Server Administrator will be responsible for assisting customers and fellow teammates with technology solutions.  This position will manage multiple servers, applications, systems, and telecommunications activities. You will recommend server and network health based on industry best practices using the validated ROBO Security Template.

  • Strong understanding of Dell Server hardware; iDRAC, PERC RAID configuration
  • Strong understanding of highly available environments and infrastructure requirements
  • Strong disaster recovery planning, implementation, and recovery
  • Strong knowledge of virtualization techniques and management; Microsoft Hyper-V preferred
  • Experience supporting Cloud Architecture and Concepts
  • Experience supporting Integration tools and APIs
  • Experience supporting multiple locations and remote field-based operations
  • Experience supporting Identity Management in Hybrid environments
  • Proactively monitor, mitigate, and respond to cybersecurity threats
  • Experience supporting Network Health, Monitoring, and reporting tools for Security Management

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide remote support to company end users by working through tickets as assigned
  • Track and maintain physical and virtual server fleet
  • Respond to monitoring alerts
  • Ensure compliance with computer security
  • Ensuring Up-time (system availability)
  • Routine maintenance and troubleshooting of Servers, Virtual Machines, and Virtual Hosts
  • Work with customers to develop software and hardware recommendations
  • Maintain Service Level Agreements
  • Support the Onboarding of New employees including training on core systems
  • Manage the preventive and corrective maintenance to the local infrastructure
  • Define and document best practices and support procedures
  • Provide after-hours support for Infrastructure related emergencies

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Lift 40 pounds (Computer, Printer, Cables, Batteries, Firewalls, Switches, etc.)
  • Work with cabling in cubicle floor arrangements, walls, or ceiling using a ladder
  • Drive to and from multiple customers using reliable transportation
