In this full-time role, you would oversee a team of 3 while being responsible for the day to day P&amp;L while reporting to the Global Controller. This role is located in El Segundo and comes with excellent benefits.Full responsibilities are listed below:Timely and accurately report current months financial results and in compliance with GAAP and IFRSPrepare real-time financial performance indicators and metrics from the units, e.g. weekly flash report, sales report, OT reports and others as neededProvide financial analysis and recommendations to the unit management team that contribute to meeting the financial performance targets including variance analysis of actuals vs.
budget and forecastPrepare yearly budget and monthly forecasts for unitReview labor, material and operating expenses and ensure costs accurately reflect production operationsConfirm accuracy of the physical inventory and reported results, investigate and explain book to physical adjustments and analyze potential excess and obsolete inventory items Identify cost efficiency opportunities in production and ways to improve costs regarding production including food waste and labor costsImplement procedures and support internal controls to ensure integrity of accounting records and safeguarding of assetsCoordinate with Purchasing on all approved Purchase Orders (POs) and maintaining an invoice log/tracker to account for all invoices associated with those open PO&#39;sEnsure supplier invoices are authorized and processed in a timely mannerCoordinates with Head Office Finance team to ensure all revenues and expenses are captured accurately and completelyEnsure capital expenditure policy is adhered to and approval forms are submitted to Head Office Finance team before orders are placed for fixed assetsAssist in the completion of special projects and ad-hoc reporting as needed- Bachelor&#39;s in Accounting or Finance- 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience - Cost accounting and analysis- Previous management experience a plus
