DescriptionLeading Technology and Power Company in Buffalo Grove is seeking a dynamic, motivated Contracts and Compliance Manager ASAP! Contracts Manager will work primarily independently to represent and protect the interests of the corporation by developing and communicating compliance policies and processes, performing a variety of legal functions in accordance with the established standards. This company caters lunch every Friday, has lots of social outings, and provides an innovative thinktank culture based on growth and diversity.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIESMonitors, researches, interprets, and evaluates state and federal laws and legal issues in applicable jurisdictions and makes recommendations on policies and procedures that relate to any/all of the following areas listed below:• Fosters close working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, promoting a positive environment by maintaining a professional, courteous, and open communication cross-functionally.• Legal Documentation Compliance: Prepares, reviews, edits, interprets, and disseminates all legal documentation (such as contracts, subcontracts, letters of agreement, scopes of work, terms and conditions, etc.) to appropriate parties.

Tracks term requirements. Pursues master agreements with customers, subcontractors, consultants, etc.• Insurance Compliance: Processes, distributes, and oversees certificates of insurance (COI) requests received throughout the year. Oversees the renewal of all certificates at the end of each year.

Provides guidance on business insurance policies and coverage levels based on the company's current and projected activities, industry standards and new developments, and the requests of our customers.• Municipality Compliance: Manages the processing, distribution, and storage of requested permits, bonds, licenses, and registrations.• Customer Compliance: Verifies the legitimacy of requests before aggregating legal, safety, HR, insurance, and/or accounting information for customers.• Miscellaneous Compliance: Works with operating departments to ensure compliance with laws, statutes, and other regulations; researches legal issues surrounding industry-specific laws and provides guidance. As laws and regulations are added or changed, works with various areas of the company and field recommending changes in business practices and procedures to ensure compliance with laws and regulations. com ASAP in a MS Word Attachment.RequirementsESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS• Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree with 3+ years' experience in the Contracts Management and Compliance; experience in the construction industry is a plus; Paralegal Certificate preferred• Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to read and understand contract language and legalese.• Communication Skills: Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, and to communicate effectively to vendors, customers, and employees within the organizations.• Computer Skills: Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite.

Minimum typing speed of 45 words per minute.• Work Environment: This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and digital fax machines.• Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position, and typical work hours and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.• Other Qualifications: Must be professional, responsible, proactive, organized, have excellent time management skills, and manage multiple priorities at once.If you are motivated, ambitious, and passionate about helping others please send your resume to Claire .
