We are seeking a self-starter with a demonstrated history of identifying issues and problem solving for this exciting Assistant Controller role. This full-time employment opportunity is based in the Fort Worth, Tx, Texas area.What you get to do every single day- Help ensure a competent, trained staff through regular assessment, goal setting and development- Discern and establish process improvements to streamline reporting and improve team efficiency- Seasoned preparation and coordination of fiscal year-end audits- Supplementary duties as assigned- Backfill for Controller where necessary- Devise relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics like key financial metrics, the monthly flash report, and actual spend against budgets/outlook- Arrange numerous policies, procedures, and technical accounting analyses- Guide the accounting team during the closing process to arrange that deadlines are met- Dissect and generate Ad Hoc financial reports- Foster accountability and the meeting of deliverables- Confirm regular account reconciliation to completion- Give to the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including forecasting and budgeting- Aid implementation and guarantee adherence to accounting policies and proceduresRequirements- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis- Significant experience in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; CPA and/or CMA preferred- Excellent verbal, written, and social skills- Ability to handle multiple tasks to prioritize needs and expedite tasks upon request- Understanding of Standard Costing and Consumer Packaged Goods Industry highly preferred- Prior accounting experience, including Big 4 public accounting audit preferred- 5+ years of general ledger accounting experience- Understanding GAAP and firm accounting policies and procedure- Foundational knowledge in month end closings- Financial statement preparation experience highly desired- Deep understanding of Manufacturing Cost AccountingFor immediate consideration, please email your resume to Carol Nichols at email@example.com.
