Robert Half has partnered with a manufacturing company in their search of an Accounts Receivable Specialist. This position is an opportunity to grow with a thriving Manufacturing company as an Accounts Receivable Specialist. This position is open due to a retirement of a long-term employee with an established and growing manufacturing business in the Hamden/North Haven area. This position is full-time/direct-hire and will be working in the office 5 days per week, regular business hours.

Major responsibilities:

- Standard and Freight Billing

- Post cash/ACH/wire payments daily

- Cash applications daily

- Process credit card orders

- Handle a range of basic accounting tasks using standard procedures

- Provide information as requested to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stake holders

- Correspond with clients to resolve payment issues and set up payment plans

Desired Experience:

-2 years of AR or Billing experience

-ERP system experience

-Experience in manufacturing industry is a plus

-MS Excel proficiency
