Ro Health is looking for an Adapted PE teacher to work at a school district in the Oceanside area until Winter break. This APE position would begin ASAP, and would potentially continue onto the next school year as well, depending on performance. This would be a Full-time school position, M-F between 8 am and 4 pm.

Job Summary:

The Adapted Physical Education Teacher’s primary responsibility is to carry out an appropriate physical education program with SPED children. An APE teacher is responsible for a carefully designed physical education program that is developed and implemented within the psycho-motor domain for individuals with disabilities. Assistance are provided to students in the general education program and/or along a continuum of physical education services. The Adapted Physical Education teacher must have a credential authorizing the teaching of APE, as established by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing. APE services students ranging from preschool to high school.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required with a major in Physical Education,
  • Valid California Teaching Credential in Adapted Physical Education
  • Prior experience in providing adapted physical education to school-age children with disabilities preferred.
  • Valid CPR Card required.
  • Background check and negative TB test to be done as well.
