Job Description

Job Overview:

  • Establish and manage a plan for daily operations that meets the needs of the patient and physicians with efficient work flow, patient flow, and patient/staff safety
  • Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients’ conditions.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and medical history, administer medication (including conscious sedation), and treatment to patients while observing reactions or side effects
  • Collect and organize information and documents to identify and resolve issues where appropriate
  • Use sensitivity in working with patients with chronic illnesses, including the assessment and education of the patient along with medication management.
  • Coordination of care between patient and all treating physicians both inside and outside of Riverhills.

Background and Experience:

  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing Program
  • Current Licensure in Ohio and Kentucky is preferred
  • CPR/AED training is required
  • Critical Thinking skills to quickly and accurately assess a patient’s health, as well as to detect and take action for any changes, is required
  • Experience with an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Practice management system is required.
  • Overtime (beyond 40 hours per week) or reduced hours may be required based on the nature of medically related work and business needs, however the general hours will include Monday through Friday with no weekend or major holiday work.
  • Great interpersonal skills with sound judgment, maturity, and an ability to establish good rapport with patients, physicians, vendors, and staff.
  • Ability to deal with patients, physicians and staff with tact and diplomacy.
  • Experience being a lead for a group of medical assistants and staff preferred.
