Job Description

River Road Veterinary Hospital is looking for Credentialed Veterinary Technicians with exceptional

client service, communication skills, and attention to detail with a positive and compassionate

attitude.

Job Responsibilities:

●Perform venipuncture for phlebotomy and catheter placement

●Obtain laboratory sample collection, process, and possibly interpret results (fecal/parasite

analysis, ear cytology, skin cytology, urinalysis, blood smears)

●Administer vaccines and medications (oral, topical, injectable)

●Prep and assist in surgery and perform dental cleanings

●Ability to effectively communicate and educate clients

●Use of computerized medical records and invoicing

Qualifications:

●Motivated to maintain our standards of excellent client services and high- quality patient care

●Team player with exceptional client service and communication skills, attention to detail with a

positive and compassionate attitude

●Minimum of 1-year of experience preferred

●Veterinary software experience is a plus

●Hours will include weekdays, some evenings, and weekends. Scheduled to fill our business

needs. Hourly wage will commensurate with experience.

River Road Veterinary Hospital's primary focus is to provide exceptional medical and surgical care for cats and dogs. As a smaller practice, River Road is able to provide the personal attention to unique concerns of each pet owner. It is important to us that our facility is seen as a friendly atmosphere where our veterinarians are able to create a bond between the pet's owner and the pets themselves.

RRVH was founded by two local veterinarians, Drs. Tracie and George Fountas, who believe that a collaborative style of veterinary practice provides the best care for the pets. By routinely utilizing the expertise of specialists, including radiologists, internists, cardiologists and our board certified surgeon on a visiting basis, rather then permanent staffing, we are able to provide advanced medicine and surgery at a competitive price in a familiar setting. This may include having our board certified surgeon visit the hospital to complete advanced surgery, the cardiologist visit to perform an echocardiogram or our radiologist evaluating your pets radiographs.
