What are the primary responsibilities in the Aerospace Engineer position?
Aerospace Engineer will work on an Integrated Product and Process Team who is responsible to insert a technology on various air platforms and establish the ground data path to a central location. Must have effective knowledge of information technology, radio frequency engineering, and digital signal processing. The candidate must understand defense acquisition programs, project management tools/techniques and be familiar with the Federal Acquisition Regulation. Travel 10% of the time required.
What required background will make you successful?
- Bachelor Degree in Aerospace Engineering or related Engineering
- Project Management and/or Project Technical Lead experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficient in SolidWorks and experience with the advanced part design/modeling tools
- Proficient in complex part design and design for manufacturability
- Experience with SolidWorks mechanical and thermal simulation tools
- Working knowledge of aerospace part fabrication/finishing methods
- Experience engaging with part suppliers as the technical POC
- Working knowledge and experience with additive manufacturing technologies
- Working knowledge and experience with environmental testing for systems deployed in flight environments
- Working knowledge and experience with Electrical and RF subsystems
- Working knowledge and experience with MS Office Suite of Business Tools
- Experience using LINUX Operating Systems and the Linux command line
- Selfless commitment to fellow teammates
- Travel 10% of the time
- Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI security clearance
- US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED
Preferred skills:
- Master Degree in Aerospace Engineering or related Engineering
- Professional Engineer certification
- INCOSE certification
