Rincon Consultants, Inc. is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist who is exceptionally accurate, efficient, customer-centric and skilled at full cycle accounts payable processing


What do you get to do in this position? 

  • Processes an average volume of 100+ account payable transactions accounts per week
  • Reviews invoice submissions to ensure accuracy and proper authorization has been obtained
  • Evaluates each invoice carefully and critically to identify discrepancies and/or errors
  • Pays according to terms while seeking to optimize payment terms by obtaining early-pay discounts whenever possible
  • Process bank transactions to include positive pay verifications, stop payments and check voids
  • Process and pay company credit card transactions including importing transactions into the accounting system and gathering and ensuring credit card documentation supports charges
  • Set-up new trade vendors and sub-consultants into the accounting system, ensuring W-9 and certificates of insurance are current and uploaded into the system
  • Prepare Form 1099s at year-end
  • Collaborates with internal customers, vendors and clients to ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices
  • Establishes successful relationships with new vendors and provides exceptional customer service to existing vendors
  • Processes transactions and performs account duties such as account maintenance, recording entries, and reconciling books of accounts
  • Keeps informed of regulatory requirements and best practices in accounting

This job might be fore you if you have the following:

  • Associate degree in accounting or related and/or at least two years accounts payable experience
  • Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
  • Competency in accounting and business management software; Ajera experience highly desired
  • Detail-oriented, resourceful, and efficient
  • Strong time management skills
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Positive attitude and eager to streamline and improve process and workflows
  • Highly motivated with strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
