Job Description

We are looking for a Research and Development Support Technician for a 1-year contract in Corvallis, OR.Main responsibilities are to provide manufacturing technician support to the R&D Inkjet final assembly area.If you have a background in manufacturing and R&D. – APPLY NOW!

Responsibilities:

  • Designs, coordinates, monitors, analyzes, and facilitates workflow to maximize quality, productivity, and reduce turnaround time.
  • Sets up, calibrates, troubleshoots, and maintains process/product equipment.
  • Assists engineering and maintenance technicians in the development of new processes and products.
  • Ability to perform Gauge, R&R's.
  • Inspects in-process data regularly to verify accuracy and completeness.
  • Reduces data to information (e.g. graphs, charts, computation of basic statistical functions).
  • Communicates with groups outside the immediate work area to obtain information on parts necessary to execute testing and tasks.
  • Communicates findings, issues, concerns, and answers questions of engineering staff.
  • Ability to setup/assist in the development of Lean processes for Proto Final Assembly area.
  • Provides technical support for operators, requestors, and other internal partners.
  • Ability to perform the duties of a Manufacturing Associate
  • Set up and operate complex equipment in a low volume, high product mix environment.
  • Provide the first level of troubleshooting and corrective action to bring processes back within standard operating parameters.
  • Verify product quality, monitor, and manage WIP flow within the work area.
  • Comply with all ISO9001 business requirements, attend regular awareness sessions, and participate in internal and external audits.
  • Work with engineers, Proto Coordinators, PDA's, operators, and management to develop new and or improve existing production processes and operating procedures.
  • Utilize factory information systems to track material and properly document any events or issues that may affect the quality or flow of material.
  • Ability to create and update documentation (EQOC, DMS).

Qualifications:

  • Must have experience in Manufacturing processes and procedures
  • Ability to design and execute experiments, analyze, and report results (DOE, JMP, Kappa, Excel skills, etc.)
  • Must be able to utilize skills to enable product and process development on new and existing tools and processes while supporting the goals and objectives of the department.
