A Right at Home Personal Care Assistant helps our clients maintain a full and independent life by providing companion care, as well as, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs). CNA training is highly preferred but not required. Personal care associated with activities of daily living (ADLs) include, but are not limited to: 

• Personal hygiene (assisting to bathroom or in using bedpan, bathing, care of mouth, skin and hair)
• Ambulation
• Eating
• Dressing
• Shaving
• Prepares meals and snacks according to instructions

A Right at Home Companion Caregiver helps our clients to have "a good day every day" by sharing their interests such as going out for a meal, enjoying a movie, taking a walk, running errands, or just sitting and chatting. Some light housekeeping and meal preparation may be part of your duties. Companion care associated with instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs) include, but are not limited to: 

• Light housekeeping - vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry and cleaning bathrooms
• Accompany or drive clients to appointments or run errands with clients
• Maintain safety of client in and out of the home setting
• Provide medication reminders as instructed

Qualifications~

• High school graduate or G.E.D certificate highly preferred
• Successful completion of a state-approved Home Health Aide or Personal Care Assistant course - Recommended, not required
• Current CPR certificate - Recommended, not required
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job
• Have access to adequate transportation for the job
