Ridgewood Government Services is seeking qualified Medical Coding Specialists to perform remote medical record coding services for US Navy Hospitals located in Italy, Spain, Japan, or Cuba.
The US Navy Hospital Facilities are comprised of specialties that include Family Practice, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, General Surgery, OB/GYN, ENT, Dermatology, Orthopedics/Podiatry, Physical Therapy/Occupational Therapy, Chiropractic, Mental Health, Substance Abuse, Social Work, Nutrition, Ophthalmology/Optometry, Audiology, Anesthesia, Occupational Health, Preventive Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Radiology, Neurology, Urology, Immunizations, Wellness, Surgical Services (SDS), Deployment Health, Military Physicals, Aviation Medicine/Flight Medicine, and Urgent Care.
Responsibilities include remote inpatient and outpatient coding and auditing services. Travel and training as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field with a minimum of 5 years clinical experience including but not limited to; acute patient care, health services, public health, long-term care administration, hospital organization and management, strategic planning and health systems.
- Two years in the last five years focused on inpatient coding, healthcare and coding regulations including code structure, clinical documentation, MS-DRG experience, criteria-based chart reviews (ex. Utilization Management or Case Management), and quality improvement experience working with a physician’s group.
