Job Objectives -
The EDI System Integration Specialist WMS is part of the regional EDI Delivery team and is responsible for:
- the execution of assigned integration projects.
- integration tasks within the Rhenus organization
- comprehensive proposals for our clients.
- providing of cost-effective solutions for customer specific integration needs
- document all new, updated, and existing customer mappings.
- Thorough testing of all new or updated interfaces
Main Accountabilities and Tasks
- Implement EDI (Near-Realtime / Non-Realtime) integration between Rhenus WMS with customer ERP systems / applications using standard EDI middleware
- Gather and analyze data to determine system requirements
- Design and maintain the Integration structure of Rhenus WMS with internal – external IT stakeholders
- Develop work plans and estimates as they relate to systems integration work tasks and team members
- Prepare technical instructions, engineering plans, technical designs, and other systems integration related documents
- Develop and conduct testing plans and procedures based upon system recommendations
- Technically build up the interface in dedicated middleware based on different customer/platform requirement
- Be capable to understand WMS functions & process based on specific request
- Level 3 Support: Regional maintain Rhenus middleware and system integration issue from Level 1 and 2.
- Provide training of system integration knowledge. Manage the training material based on different training request.
- Be a part of WMS implementation team in system integration area for global scope of warehousing projects.
- Provide client with post-installation and integration support
- Serve as main contact to work with APAC and Europe Team to configure American Region EDI configurations.’
- Create EDI / Web Services mapping specification / descriptions
- First contact for Business, Customers and Partners for all EDI related topics
- Addresses problems of Blue Yonder implementation, integration, systems compatibility, system availability, and possesses knowledge of multiple supporting application platforms.
- Translate client/business requirements into system requirements, technical specifications and logical data mappings for integration.
- Support User Acceptance Test (UAT) process assuring proper deployment of the solution meeting 4 bottom lines (Scope, Time, Cost & Quality)
Platform and Resources -
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience in Information Systems, or related field
- Deep knowledge of the .NET 3.5/4.0 Framework including Visual Studio 2010,2012 (DevExpress would be advantage)
- Proven knowledge and experience with EDI-related middleware (Seeburger BIS would be an advantage)
SKILLS & KNOW HOW
Good programming skills (e. g. JAVA, .Net, Json, SQL, Shell scripting, Python)
Familiarity with OOP design principles and MVC
Able to use and understand concept of RDBMS (MySQL, SQL Server or Oracle)
Experience with Linux/Unix commands
Experience with git/GitHub, Slack, Swagger, JIRA
Experience in integration project between customer system and internal system
Experience in webservice / API interface development
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong team player with fluent English verbal and written communication Skills
Able to work as a team player in a multi-cultural environment
Able to motivate people to embrace change
Willing to travel, both domestically and internationally
