Position Summary Reporting to the Director of Product Engineering & Innovation for the Specialty Components Group, the Engineering Manager will lead an effective design team in the realization of world class Rexnord products that meet customer requirements with respect to safety, quality, delivery and cost. This position will work cross-functionally and with Product Management, Operations, Purchasing, Quality, and the Sales team in support of the total lifecycle of the Product Lines. Responsibilities Lead by example: advise and grow a team of engineers and designers to ensure the development and sustainment of robust products that meet customer expectations while continuing to evolve the skills and capabilities of the team Work closely with cross functional teams to create and maintain global and local processes and standards related to the development of components and products of Specialty Components Lead the support of sustaining of our core products through Value Analysis and Value Engineering process; design improvements, functionality enhancements, obsolescence management, and coordination of issue discovery and root cause analysis Partner with the Innovation Center to implement and drive the evolution of new innovative products and technologies Establish performance objectives, provides fair and constructive feedback and assess associate performance, training needs, and areas for improvement for the future growth within the organization.

Master's Degree is desirable but not required.
8 years leading technical teams and projects in an engineering, product development and Value Add/Value Engineering (VAVE) environment 3 years of direct management experience Proven experience in mechanical design, design validation, and product life cycle testing Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and CAD programs Specific experience with SolidWorks and PDM Pro is preferred Proven track record of developing highly effective associates and teams Previous experience with a variety of power transmission components (e.g. gears, sprockets, chains, belts, couplings, etc) A working knowledge of electrical systems Excellent verbal, written and public speaking skills Strong conflict resolution and problem solving skills including long term resolution through continuous improvement Ability to travel up to 20%; some global travel may be required The Company Rexnord is a $2 billion multi-platform diversified global industrial company with exceptional and trusted brands that serve a diverse array of global end markets.
