Job Description

REVOLT Media & TV creates and curates the best in hip-hop culture and engages youth in social conversation – on-air, on-line, and on-demand. This unapologetically hip-hop, multi-platform network offers original and acquired programming for linear and digital platforms as well as live events and activations across the country.

The Director of Planning will have a strong passion for the cross-platform linear and digital media ad buying process. The planning director leads REVOLT's planning team as they steward advertising sales business from proposal through invoicing. The director will allocate resources and guide the department's workflow, liaising with commercial operations, finance, clients, vendors, and REVOLT's dynamic sales team.

What You’ll Do:

• Train and lead a team of planners and assistants as they field requests for new proposals as well as changes to existing orders

• Maintain pricing and implement terms as set by corporate and sales leadership as related to sales proposals across REVOLT's various platforms: linear, digital, and social

• Track and optimize yield management and inventory utilization across linear and digital proposal submissions

• Guide the planning team as they provide reporting to clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders; ensuring a high level of effectiveness and professionalism in the team's communications

• Track running orders for delivery of KPIs and respond quickly to underdelivery

• Collaborate with the linear and digital ad operations teams as they work to resolve issues such as reporting discrepancies, identifying KPIs, invalid traffic, viewability, and brand safety

• Collect, validate and certify the monthly reporting for all running orders for audit and invoicing

• Identify, monitor, and limit costs related to the fulfillment of advertising sales orders, ensuring those costs stay below a minimum threshold

• Evaluate and consider new technologies available in the ad sales planning process

• Design workflows to monetize new sales modalities and platforms such as podcasts and connected TV

• Provide decision support through targeted reporting for sales management and senior REVOLT leadership

What You Bring:

• 5-7 years of experience supporting a media buying/planning/selling department or other related Digital media experience

• BA or BS Degree

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills

• Practical knowledge of basic media concepts, terminology, media math, and media plan execution

• Proficiency with Microsoft application software (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Must be proficient in pulling reporting and analytics from client systems (i.e., DCM, Innovid, Nielsen, Sizmek, etc.)

• Robust analytics and reporting background in data modeling

• Must have experience with vendor-supplied ad sales CRM solutions such as WideOrbit, MediaOcean Prisma, Operative, etc.
