Retail Area Sales Manager

The Area Manager is responsible for the management of all stores operational and sales functions for the assigned Area. This includes recruiting, hiring, training & developing employees; maximizing sales; ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer satisfaction; profit and loss management; expense control, and execution of all policies and procedures. Partners with Regional Sales Manager, Human Resources, Merchandising, Marketing, Finance, IT, Logistics/Inventory, peer Area Managers and other corporate personnel to deliver an outstanding customer experience in accordance with #teaminvicta Legendary Behaviors and Organization’s Mission and Values.

The position will be based out of Atlanta, GA.

  • Lenox Square
  • Cumberland Mall
  • Mall of Georgia

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervises a team of at least four (04) stores with one Store Manager/General Manager in each store
  • Supports General/Store Managers in all aspects of their role in order to achieve success
  • Establish appropriate direction and communication to Store Management and Store Teams while holding Store Leaders accountable for execution at store level
  • Participates on the recruitment, interviewing, hiring and training of staff in individual locations
  • Promotes engagement through coaching, motivating, and mentoring
  • Spend time in stores to evaluate performance, provide feedback, create development plans and recognize exceptional performance
  • Model Situational Leadership at all times and ensure Store Managers fully understand this coaching strategy
  • Hold regular meetings and conference calls to communicate Company directives and reinforce policies and procedures
  • Ensure proper execution of visual merchandising standards
  • Complete Quarterly QBR’s as needed and provides feedback to Store Managers/General Managers
  • Ensure attainment of budgeted sales results and controls expenses to budget
  • Provide leadership to Store Management to drive sales and maximize margin
  • Manage payroll and total labor costs of each store and Area
  • Manage Inventory shrink variance within budgeted goal
  • Monitor stores' controllable expenses to budget and takes corrective action as necessary
  • Protect Company assets including attaining budgeted shrink results and monitoring store compliance with policies and procedures
  • Manage Human Resources issues to ensure retention, training and development, and hiring standards for all Employees
  • Ensure Store Management supports corporate training programs and that Employees complete all Company directed training
  • Provide guidance and training to Management teams to develop future Store Managers
  • Monitor Employees morale in stores to ensure a pleasant and productive work environment
  • Approve promotions, terminations, and disciplinary action as needed
  • Visit stores during all times of the week (day/night) and work some weekends
  • Perform other projects / duties as needed.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field preferred
  • 7-10 years retail experience with minimum of 3 years multi-store management
  • Exceptional knowledge of retail operations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to supervise staff in different locations
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to multi-task while focused on store team dynamics
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independent of direct supervision.
  • Proven decision-making skills
  • Ability to travel 75% of the time
  • Overnight travel maybe required depending on the market
  • Spanish/Portuguese Speaking a plus
