Job Description
Salary: $48,000 -$55,000 annually

RestorePro Reconstruction is hiring an experienced  HR Generalist for our growing company. Responsibilities assist in the day-to-day activities of HR for our 130-person staff. Responsibilities include full-cycle recruiting, i.e. sourcing qualified candidates, vetting resumes, conducting initial phone screens, and scheduling onsite interviews with the hiring team. Also, the administrative tasks for successful onboarding, serve as the first point of contact and respond to inquiries about benefits, policies, or HR programs. Process change requests such as transfers, promotions, or termination from benefits plans, insurance policies, etc.  The HR Generalist will be proactive, organized, and detail-oriented, and work with all levels within the organization and be able to execute in a fast-paced, multi-faceted environment with minimal oversight Ultimately, you’ll employ your specialized skills and network to help us bring the right people on board. The ideal candidate will have experience recruiting in the restoration (or similar) industry and possess excellent time management and excellent interpersonal skills. 

*This role is 100% onsite in our Durham office 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday- Friday. 


Essential Functions:

  • Generating official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, and HR memos
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Conducting phone prescreens
  • Schedule next steps with hiring managers
  • Employee onboarding to include educating newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations
  • Coordinating and attending job fairs
  • Knowledge of effective hiring practices (e.g. social media, job board, agency recruiting)
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a busy work environment
  • Reinforce the company policies, rules, and procedures to ensure employees’ safety
  • Sourcing
  • Creating Job Descriptions
  • Administrative duties for recruiting
  • Source qualified candidates via job sites, databases, job fairs, university/ college networking, etc.
  • Recommend applicants for hire and advise managers against hiring individuals who do not appear to meet company culture, role standards, etc. and dispositioning candidates in the ATS accordingly
  • Coordinate and attend job fairs as needed
  • Update the job description in the ATS to reflect posting information
  • Keep manager and applicant informed of applicant status
  • Extend offers of employment verbally and in writing
  • Process new hires in the ATS
  • Ensure that the Employment Eligibility Verification (Form I-9) process is performed and employment authorization is obtained for every new employee within the time mandated by the US Department of Homeland Security;
  • Conduct new hire orientation
  • Assist with other projects as assigned by management


    Qualification Requirements

     

      • 2+ years experience in multifunction human resources support 
      • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
      • Knowledge of HR compliance 
      • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a busy work environment
      • Multi-tasking
      • Excellent communication skills
      • Working knowledge of recruitment techniques and human resource-related topics
