Sales Representative needed in Westlake Village!

We are seeking a Full Time Sales Representative to sell and service new and existing accounts.  The position is also responsible with dealing with customers, providing information and answering questions, performing sales and service functions for targeted markets, programs and sales as assigned. In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have a deep understanding of the sales process and dynamics, and also superb interpersonal skills. Previous experience in a sales role is an advantage.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
  • Initiating and following up with to sell or resolve problems, answer questions and correspondence and complete reports.
  • Knowledge of consumer products /Supplements and specifications, as well as industry terminology.
  • Quote prices, credit terms and other bid specifications.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to exchange information such as selling strategies and marketing information.
  • Proven work experience as a sales representative
  • Suggest applicable and relevant upsells
  • Overall passion for Health and Wellness and cheerleader for supplements!
  • Assists customers and arranges payment terms in accordance with established guidelines
  • Contact current and prospective customers to sell and explain products, perform account rounding and solicit new business within the market area.  
  • Performs other duties as required.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

  • Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and must work 40 hours each week to maintain full-time Management status.
  • Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Proven work experience as a Sales Representative for internal market(s)
  • Experience with probiotics and/or nutraceutical industry knowledge, i.e. Supplements (Health and Wellness)
  • Business Acumen
  • Go getter attitude
  • Relationship management skills
  • Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as, strong basic computer skills.
  • Accurate in carrying out responsibilities with working in mutual cooperation within a team environment as well as, demonstrated abilities to work independently.
  • Organizational, Analytical, and multitasking skills.
  • Teamwork and motivational skills.
  • Must have a strong work ethic and demonstrate dependability and timeliness.
  • Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are essential in this collaborative work environment.
  • The innate skills of being competitive with a need for achievement and highly optimistic
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced small company environment with minimal direction and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities.
  • Preferred Customer Service background in Natural Food Industry (Supplements).
  • Preferred knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics.

Required Education and Experience

  • At least 2-3 years’ experience in Sales experience with proven sales success and retention,
  • Strong customer service and people skills.
  • AA and/or equivalent work experience. 
  • Microsoft Dynamics strongly preferred. 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, Outlook.
