We have opportunities for an Occupational Safety and Health professional to support our government client. Workload is focused upon supporting the safety and health management needs of a large Federal agency, with significant presence in the Washington, DC area, as well as significant personnel distributed through the United States. This position has the ability to work remotely.
Gather, review, analyze, and model occupational safety and health and workers’ compensation-related data, providing analytical support and conducting statistical analyses and identifying and presenting statistical trends
Review data and develop insights and trend data and support the development of useful reports and presentations
Performing safety audits, inspections, and evaluations to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions in accordance with regulatory requirements
Providing specialty safety services and assessments addressing requirements that include ergonomics
Developing and delivering customer training one-on-one, in groups, in classrooms, and via web-delivered media
Providing outreach to agency employees, promoting safety awareness throughout the organization.
A Bachelor’s degree in safety, industrial hygiene, environmental health, health physics, biology, human factors/ergonomics or other safety related field is required.
Additional requirements are:
Three (3) to five (5) years of work experience in occupational safety and health; experience in Federal government workplaces is desirable but not essential.
A high level of competency using MS Office Suite (advanced knowledge of Excel is preferred) applications, SharePoint, and Visio
Familiarity with OSHA regulations, to include 29 CFR 1910, 29 CFR 1926, 29 CFR 1904, and 29 CFR 1960
Strong written and oral communication skills
