Associate Program Manager

Resource Innovations is seeking an Associate Program Manager (APM) to join our growing team in the Chicago or Hinsdale, IL. area. As an APM with Resource Innovations, you will work in a dynamic environment leading and managing a team of operations and outreach staff on large scale commercial and industrial energy efficiency programs. The APM will play a highly visible role both internally and externally and will be responsible for developing short and long-term implementation plans, financial analyses, financial reporting, and developing trusted relationships with clients, industry stakeholders, and program contacts.

The Associate Program Manager must be able to manage project tasks in a dynamic environment and respond quickly to implementation changes or challenges and market conditions. This position requires excellent planning, budgeting, and people-management skills. Experience working in partnership with energy efficiency implementation subcontractors, community-based organizations, low-income communities, and/or government entities is desired.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manages and executes financial analyses and calendar reporting.
• Manages program work plans to meet goals, aligning staff assignments, and providing accurate forecasting both internally and to clients.
• Delivers successful energy efficiency programs to utility client(s) per contract terms and program budgets.
• Identifies, defines, quantifies, tracks, and drives the development of program deliverables on time and on budget.
• Manages client expectations, satisfaction, communications, and resolves and/or escalates client issues.
• Continuously assesses project progress to goal and develops innovative and creative solutions to new issues and/or market dynamics.
• Leads a dynamic team in meeting program delivery goals by setting and reviewing program standards and objectives
• Supports outreach functions through data analysis, brainstorming, program presentations, and relationship-building as needed.
• Interfaces with key internal departments such as IT, Marketing, Finance, and HR to develop efficiencies to meet program needs.
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum of a bachelor's degree in related field including, but not limited to, business, energy/environment, engineering; a master's degree in a related field preferred
• A minimum of 3+ years of experience in energy efficiency or a related field required, commercial program experience preferred
• Proven success in developing and implementing project scopes, budgets, and plans
• Proficient skills with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools
• Excellent project and program management skills
• Ability and experience in short and long-range planning and strategy
• Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task while consistently meeting deadlines with accuracy and within budget
• Client service focus
