Job Description
Bachelor’s degree in a related specialized area or the equivalent experience is required plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience to meet managerial expectations.
Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Our company has an immediate opening for an IT Manager: Enterprise Workflow & Process Automation Platforms (Appian / RPA). This key leadership role will report to the Senior Manager, Enterprise IT Platforms.
Have a passion for business process and integrating existing and new automation and workflow technologies to help drive greater efficiencies within GDMS. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a talented team of motivated individuals evolve our business process through automation!
This role will be the organizational change leader and champion for business process automation on the internal IT team. He/She will work with senior business stakeholders and Product Managers across IT and the business to define and execute our automation strategy and ensure alignment to evolving business needs. They will explore, advocate and implement the use of leading technologies like robotic process automation and ML/AI that could further shift our platform capabilities and business support.
Representative duties and tasks
• Lead a team of talented IT professionals to ideate, plan design, develop and deliver tools and applications that streamline and digitize business processes.
• Partner with stakeholders and across IT and business to define use-cases, requirements, and business needs for workflow, BPM and automation. Understand the state, the vendor/technology landscape, cloud strategies and offerings, and use to define strategies, roadmaps and business cases that transform our processes.
• Keep abreast of trends, emerging technologies and evangelize these in support of the GDMS strategy. Be a change agent to instill a process improvement mindset across GDMS using process automation technology.
• Strong mindset and passion for technology innovation, responsible for strategy development and delivery, building a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, and the evolution of people, process and technology. Ability to sense, adapt, and anticipate when change is needed and to deliver on it.
• Measure, monitor, assess and optimize the value delivered by GDMS investment in the platform.
• Foster servant leadership and create a culture embracing innovation, continual learning and improvement and one which adopts new practices and to drive performance, engagement and value for GDMS.
• People leader, responsible for all aspects of employee engagement, including directing, coaching, supporting and providing frequent feedback to develop, challenge and grow a team of leaders and technical staff. Optimize team effectiveness, enhance service delivery, and support employee work/life balance. Establish and implement effective succession plans.
• Oversee the delivery of strategic IT project initiatives working closely with project management, business users, and various technology teams to ensure successful project outcomes and deliverables.
• Understanding and adhering to GDMS security, audit and compliance policies such as SOX. Execute on risk mitigation strategies to improve the overall company security posture.
• Perform other duties as directed including planning and executing projects or small initiatives managing high risk, high-profile and complex outcomes.
• Moderate business travel required.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Experience in some of the following relevant technical areas and principles are required and/or highly desirable:
• Experience with Enterprise Workflow & Robotic Process Automation (RPA), and Appian
• Experience with Hyper-automation Low-code/no-code AI/ML, Intelligent Process Automation, Data integration technologies Platform as a Service (PaaS) enterprise process mapping, modeling, monitoring, and engineering UX, Agile, & DevSecOps.
• Experience with UIPath, Blue Prism or similar technologies is highly desired. Experience with Microsoft Power Automate and Power Apps is a plus.
• Capturing requirements, use cases, gap analysis, etc. to inform the development and execution of a strategic vision, roadmap, and initiative planning or execution.
• Exposure to various enterprise IT applications and experience with implementing and managing cloud-based services (AWS, Azure).
