Gibraltar Industries Building Accessories is seeking motivated individuals to join our dynamic team at NorWesCo in Fife, WA, helping make the manufacturing floor of our business safer and more efficient. We are looking for talented industrial machinery mechanics who are familiar setting up, maintaining and repairing standard industrial manufacturing machinery. You must be able to troubleshoot issues, identify symptoms and have confidence when something is wrong. We value the safety of our machine operators above everything else, so we need machinery mechanics who can spot malfunctions and take the steps necessary to correct them before they create a dangerous situation. You should have excellent mechanical knowledge, experience working with machinery and strong communication skills.
Manufacturing company seeks maintenance mechanic, for day shift 6:30 am - 3: 00 pm M-F. Occasional overtime required.
Required:
9+ years' experience, with industrial machinery maintenance, i.e. Punch presses, Roll formers
Must have own tools, Basic hand tools, (electric portable drill, impact etc. a plus)
- Installs, maintains, tests, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic machinery and equipment.
- Perform tasks in dismantling, assembling and installing industrial machinery.
- Diagnose, repair and perform maintenance tasks on high and low voltage power distribution systems, AC and DC drives, microprocessors, relay logic, control wiring and related technologies
- Repair and replace defective parts and components. Installs special functional and structural parts in devices. Lubricates and cleans parts and components.
- Maintains inventory on supplies and spare parts.
- Ability to read, troubleshoot, and create PLC logic.
- Read blueprints and schematics to effectively troubleshoot equipment in a timely manner.
- Maintain and train employees in the safe and efficient methods to repair equipment by following company developed LOTO and other related programs.
- Plans layout, installs and repairs manufacturing equipment, acting as plant expert in educated field.
- Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
- Maintain adequate preventative maintenance program on equipment such as cleaning and lubrication of manufacturing equipment.
- Understanding of technical manuals and drawings.
- Understanding of Hydraulic and Pneumatic controls.
- Able to understand ladder logic drawings is a plus.
- Fabricating skills, welding using, MIG, TIG, Gas and Stick.
- Machine shop skills a plus.
- Ability to handle fast paced environment with a sense of urgency.
- Ability to handle multiple projects
