Position Title: Account Manager

FLSA Status: Exempt

Reports to: Regional Executive Director


Position Overview

The Account Manager identifies and develops new leads, interacts with existing clients and management companies to increase reserve study sales, and fosters strategic relationships in the region to increase sales and develop new business.   


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop new business in the region; identify, prospect and analyze opportunities to implement the objectives of the region
  • Implement various outreach techniques (i.e. bagel drops, lunch and learns, conduct education sessions for boards/board managers)
  • Attend and promote Reserve Advisors at trade shows and other industry events including CAI chapter events and management company sponsored events 
  • Conduct sales from lead to close for accounts within territory
  • Lead qualification, development and close
  • Client needs analysis as relates to the Board, Management Team and Property 
  • Time estimation and pricing
  • Creating and sending customized proposals
  • Client / Manager follow up, development and close
  • Board presentations and conference calls
  • Partner with Regional Executive Director to assist in budget creation and management
  • Partner with Account Specialists for support with proposals and lead fulfillment 
  • Active involvement in the local trade association (as needed regionally)
  • Develop various sales presentations, i.e. PowerPoint, etc. using corporate standards
  • Additional duties as may be assigned


    • High school diploma or higher level of education
    • 3+ years B2B sales experience
    • Attentive listening, verbal communication skills and exceptional client handling
    • Demonstrated competencies with public speaking and presentations (groups ranging from 2-300)
    • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work independently in a fast-paced environment
    • Exceptional accuracy in written communication
    • Drivers license and demonstrated safe driving record
    • Basic computer skills: Microsoft Office, Google web platform
    • SalesForce experience a plus


    Working Conditions

    Standard office environment with frequent computer use.  Overnight and out of town travel likely.  Extended hours possible. 



    Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
