Job Description
General Description
Hunter CUNY 2x, an internship placement program, seeks experienced technical instructors for a one-month full stack coding bootcamp. We will hire one instructor and several TAs. All must have high-level JavaScript and SQL experience, and classroom experience. All will lead project work and facilitate tutorial and project completion with 25 Hunter College computer science majors.
Start:Jan 2
End: Jan 24
Time: 10-4 Mon-Fri plus two Saturdays
Location: Hunter campus, 68th and Lexington, Manhattan.
Salaries for TAs will be commensurate with experience.
Class size: 30 students
Required skills will include git and industry github workflows, databases, fullstack web (React, Node/Express), and mobile technologies. Ideal candidates will have one or two other languages besides JavaScript and SQL. Basic familiarity with security, Heroku/Surge, and Docker would be helpful. The bootcamp will largely be project based, with students completing online tutorials (such as Facebook's tic tac toe React project), building group projects in class, and completing individual projects.
