A Life Science Technical Specialist performs and documents planned maintenanceand repair of research and clinical laboratory equipment (centrifuges,incubators, freezers, chromatography instruments, etc.) and associated systemswith minimal supervision from service management to perform the requiredduties.The Specialist must demonstratea working knowledge of, and ability to use the required test equipment, andhave the electronic and mechanical knowledge and skills, including the abilityto interpret and effectively utilize service manuals, schematics and otherapplicable service information, required to perform and document plannedmaintenance and repair of the specialty equipment and systems, as assigned, inaccordance with established company procedures.The Specialist must demonstrate good organizational skills as well asgood communications, interpersonal and customer relations skills as applied tointeractions with company personnel and Client staff in accordance withestablished RENOVO operational and personnel policies and procedures.

Specific Responsibilities:

1. Independently performs general troubleshooting and repairs to the component level. Also, independently perform installations, calibrations, qualifications, and planned maintenance with minimal technical direction.

2. Proper use and maintenance of all standard test equipment

3. Be able to read, analyze, interpret and follow signal flow on blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams.

4. Exercise good system troubleshooting skills.

5. Maintain parts stock and on demand orders for PM / Repairs

6. Perform and be available for after-hours service, also available for emergency calls on weekends, while following corporate and state labor laws.

7. May be required to participate in shift scheduling.

8. Perform manufacturer-mandated equipment modifications and satisfactorily complete the required paperwork.

9. Be able to perform all system service diagnostics on applicable products.

10. Perform other duties as assigned. **


1. Administer assigned work orders in CMMS system (RENOVOLive)

2. Understand and observe company policies and accounting procedures.

3. Maintain service records and ensure inventory is accurate

4. Process travel and other expenses accurately while following company policy
