Job Description

Job Description:  The Regional Director of Finance for Rennova Community Health, Inc.  is the accounting and finance leader that has primary oversight of assigned RCH accounting team members. The Regional Director of Finance is responsible for helping to create an environment and culture that enables hospitals to fulfill their mission by meeting or exceeding goals, conveying the organization's mission to staff, adhering to all internal controls, holding staff accountable for performance, and motivating staff to improve performance.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

·       Standardize activities across the region to ensure all financial reports are successfully submitted and errors are resolved

·       Supervise and coach hospital controllers and accounting teams including, AP/AR and Purchasing/Materials Management. Lead, develop and evaluate finance team members by providing necessary training, direction in process improvement, and performance feedback. Provide on-going support to encourage a collaborative teamwork environment

·       Develop methodologies and approaches to ensure key internal performance indicators (i.e. productivity reports) are incorporated and monitored as the lead for decision support tool development

·       Overall cash management on an ongoing basis; monitor and balance bank accounts to ensure adequate cash flow, financial reserves and confirm financial standing status of the company.

·       Provide financial data for proposal budgets, grant requests, grant budgets, and annual reports

·       Manage working capital needs for RCH, including managing receivable collection efforts and managing payment terms

·       Participate in the quarterly and annual review of filings for proper disclosure of business activities, including sign-off on financials and forecasts used for estimates in financial reporting

·       Works with department managers to develop departmental budgets in conjunction with the organization’s overall goals and individual department productivity standard. Control the annual budgeting and quarterly forecast process and specific budgeting and forecasting issues, including periodic exception analysis

·       Prepare the quarterly forecasts and reviewing with senior management

·       When requested, provide financial support for the strategic planning process, including preparing the financial models for international projections and reviewing with senior management

·       Prepare business cases for capital expenditure requests and evaluate investment performance

·       Collaborate with Regional Revenue Cycle Director in commercial insurance/contract negotiations

·       Review and compile confidential contracts for archival and retrieval when necessary

·       Oversee ad-hoc project teams, where necessary, for sensitive and/or escalated client billing / collection issues or other financial issues

·       Contribute to the development of new processes, procedures and systems

·       Ensures quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting by overseeing the timely and accurate completion contractual allowances, A/R and A/P, job cost reports, workload projections, balance sheets and monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports

·       Monitor all financial transactions and accountancy matters, including audit systems

·       Review of accounts and investigation of variances then setting recovery plans

·       Ensure confidentiality practices are observed

·       Supports specific development activities including local/regional product line analysis, projections relating to additional physician recruitment, and on-going acquisitions

·       Establish appropriate integration with corporate consolidation and US GAAP compliance requirements

·       Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the Company

Education

·       Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field

·       MBA preferred in finance or related field

·       CPA preferred

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

·       8+ years finance or accounting experience including

·       5+ years managerial experience

·       3+ years’ experience managing and leading geographically spread team

·       Strong communication skills with ability to clearly explain complex issues to a range of audiences

·       Strong leadership skills with an ability to motivate direct reports

·       Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, and internal personal skills

·       Strong problem solver, persistent, and goal oriented

·       Self-starting multi-tasker, with strong organization skills

·       Excellent analytical/quantitative skills

·       Strong customer service and presentation skills

·       Ability to communicate effectively with senior management

·       Advanced MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint

·       Strong presentation skills

·       Strong Customer-facing skills
