The Marketing Director will be responsible for all aspects of both traditional and non-traditional DIRECT RESPONSE marketing channels to generate all leads for our in-home sales team. This candidate will report directly to the CEO and work alongside the GM as well as be a part of the Senior Leadership Team.
As a marketing leader, they will be a key member of the Renewal by Andersen team, directing and managing the following:
1. The development and implementation of a Direct Response marketing and brand strategy designed to drive the organizations strategic marketing and sales KPIs with a focus on maximizing ROI.
2. Onboard and integrate a suite of proven, progressive marketing effectiveness processes, tools, and analytical instruments to measure and forecast the results of marketing strategies and return on investment.
3. Establish and lead a high-performance marketing and agency team by modeling and applying effective leadership practices, optimizing capabilities from existing talent and driving results.
4. Contribute significantly to the ongoing organic and inorganic growth of the company, acting as a collaborative partner with leadership.
Actively participate in strategic business planning sessions to fully understand market trends, market penetration and share growth objectives, targets for long term growth and to achieve the annual financial plan.
Develop full-range marketing strategies and plans to drive company revenue targets, and budgeted bottom-line profitability.
Develop marketing campaign/lead KPIs, and regularly track and report performance of all marketing efforts against these KPIs to ensure appropriate ROI. Make proactive adjustments to achieve maximum performance.
Marketing and Brand Strategy
Develop and execute effective omni-channel marketing initiatives (Direct-to-Consumer), that encompass and synchronize product branding, digital marketing programs, cross-media advertising campaigns, social media and influencer programs and presence, and relevant home improvement events.
Maintain an in-depth awareness of relevant trends, strategies, and latest advancements in marketing technologies. Identify and propose innovative programs to disrupt and lead.
Marketing Team Leadership
Drive the vision and behaviors of the marketing team to support the values and culture of the business. Identify and develop marketing talent within the organization.
Catalog individual skills and capabilities; identify gaps and areas for development; and establish accountabilities to drive talent growth.
Coordinate and monitor the tactical and strategic responsibilities of the internal marketing team members and external contractors to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of our marketing efforts. Effectively and proactively manage the performance of staff members. Recognize excellence, actively address deficiencies, and maximize talent potential.
Recognize, develop, and implement continuous improvements to processes, systems, and tools to achieve marketing excellence.
Conduct annual marketing benchmark study to ensure optimal marketing budget.
Report out on ROI of marketing strategies and activitiesby marketing channel, target market, region, etc. to align with best in class, company-wide reporting metrics.
Candidate Specification: Key Selection Criteria
Minimum five (5) years experience in digital transformation, B2C marketing, direct response marketing, managing marketing operations, campaign strategy and/or product marketing. At least five (5) years experience leading successful marketing teams and managing large (over $10M) marketing budgets.
Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or related field desired.
A proven, hands-on leader with the ability to promote notable brands and develop and execute brand strategies, including brand identity, positioning, and the corresponding marketing plan.
Features a consistent track record of delivering revenue growth and profitability goals by executing an integrated marketing plan, agile methodology, omni-channel marketing, including retail and digital e-commerce channels.
Demonstrated ability to strategize, create and lead marketing campaigns and programs that have resulted in quantifiable growth and/or success outcomes. Experience with effective management of cooperative advertising programs to include traditional and digital mediums.
Possesses an analytical mindset, deep experience in marketing automation technology, customer experience technologies, data management, CRM, and call center operations.
Achieved success by leveraging sophisticated analytics and data to drive profitable growth. Innately understands how to leverage in-depth knowledge about brands, customer segments, and markets to drive growth and build sustainable brand equity.
