Job Description

How you will make a difference:

  • Capitalize the existing solar business to identify and develop plans in the Northeastern market including, but not limited to: Upstate New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont;
  • Pursue new opportunities for growth in one of the following markets: Northeastern solar markets; with a specific focus on selling modules into large (500 kW and up) commercial and industrial rooftop and ground-mount projects;
  • Deep analysis and comprehension of current market dynamics and needs and is a critical function of the company for overall strategy in North America;
  • Development of ‘go to market’ strategies including identification of and approach to strategic partners and customers in the C&I and Residential segment;
  • Define the business model and standard contract terms as well as work with marketing to define and execute marketing campaigns;
  • Create a strategic plan for market expansion and area development in conjunction with the Marketing department
  • Must be willing to travel 50%
  • All other duties assigned

The ideal candidate will hold:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Marketing and/or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in solar energy sales and/or business development and/or an equivalent combination of both education and experience
  • Creative entrepreneurship and agility over the experience
  • Strong communication skills to internal and external customers as well as hold attention to detail
  • Proficient in the use of MS Suite
  • Previous experience in selling modules into a distribution channel or large installers/developers
  • Proven understanding of the market dynamics in Residential & Commercial Solar Market
