Reports to Accounting Manager, as well as CFO for special projects
Performs monthly accounting closes for multiple hotel properties including account reconciliations; bank reconciliations; trend analysis and P&L accruals
Visits hotel properties and coordinates projects with property accountants, identifying necessary accounting adjustments
Records various bank activities on a daily basis
Researches credit card deposit discrepancies with properties
Prepares monthly sales and occupancy tax returns
Assists in Accounts Payable processing and review and special projects
Maintains accounting spreadsheets for prepaid expenses, inventories, and other balance sheet accounts
Sets up new properties and rolls over daily revenue reports in the Company’s M3 accounting software
Coordinates maintenance of automated recording of payroll labor distribution reports
Prepares necessary year-end adjusted journal entries for submission to outside tax accountants
A bachelor's degree in accounting preferred; plus 2- 4 years general accounting experience in hospitality - hotels, restaurants and/or resorts.
Proficiency using MS Word/Excel is required; and experience in M3 accounting software is preferred.
Comfortable with learning new software and automated procedures.
Excellent communication and people skills and the ability to work with a diverse team.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and function in a quick moving, deadline driven environment
Detail oriented and excellent organizational skills a must.
Can be trusted to handle extremely confidential and sensitive information
