Customer Service Representative- Case Manager

Are you looking for a new career in the medical field? LOOK NO FURTHER! A Fortune 5 healthcare company in Louisville, Ky is seeking experienced Case Managers to provide excellent customer service in a medical call center environment.
As a Case Manager, you would monitor the processing of cases for patients with specialty pharmacy vendors and home health agencies to overcome delay in turnaround times and other obstacles. Case Managers will be in regular contact with vendors, contact physician offices, payers, specialty pharmacies, and pharmaceutical company representatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitors drug shipments
- Work with vendor contacts (specialty pharmacies and/or home health agencies) to expedite approval and delivery of medication
- Understand reasons for denial and take appropriate actions to resolve case
- Triage cases to appropriate specialty pharmacy if appropriate in a timely manner
- Provide consultative services where issues arise on how obstacles can be overcome in order to get patient approved
- Obtains missing patient and vendor information
- Maintains all patient confidentiality
Requirements:
- 6 months related experience, preferably in a healthcare or health insurance organization
- Strong verbal and written skills in order to effectively communicate with co-workers and medical office personnel.
- Strong organizational skills
- Experience in call center or service center preferred
- Strong typing/data entry skills
- Intermediate computer skills (Windows, Word, Outlook)
