The Marketing Assistant helps drive the company’s continued growth of the New England Coffee brand and is responsible for a diverse range of marketing initiatives. Reporting to the Marketing Director, the Marketing Assistant will play a critical role in helping to expand brand recognition of New England Coffee across the U.S. and will assist in the company reaching revenue goals. The Marketing Assistant will support Retail, Foodservice and E-Commerce channels, while also spearheading independent results-oriented programs.

  • Assists Marketing Director in achieving strategic brand objectives through the launch of new items across retail and foodservice channels. Specific duties to include participating in product development taste tests and  research, development of insight-driven sales materials, overseeing new item setup, routing packaging graphics for approval and coordinating materials for image and supply chain databases.
  • Contribute to overall portfolio management by participating in product renovation projects, managing packaging graphics changes, and product optimizations.
  • Work with a cross-functional team that includes customer service, sales and supply chain to ensure the success of our marketing point-of-sale program for foodservice customers. Specific responsibilities include vendor relations, management of creative development for new and existing items, new item set up, and inventory replenishment ordering.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of sales-driving initiatives of New England Coffee products through our e-commerce site and in our New England Coffee shop. Leverage the coffee shop for sales, product testing, materials runout, equipment testing and messaging.  Also coordinate regular consumer email programs.
  • Handle day-to-day back-end management of the New England Coffee website, which includes updating content for both existing and new items. Assist with website consumer relations and order refunds as necessary.  Work with Marketing Director and digital agency to execute strategic changes and updates.
  • Coordinate, monitor, oversee and measure all event and sampling activities for the brand. Evaluate and approve foodservice and consumer event requests. Manage schedule with external vendor and coordinate all product and materials orders.
  • Monthly and ad-hoc data analysis and reporting of sales and consumer consumption utilizing internal and external resources to support business reviews, sales stories and plan activities.
  • Provide branding assets as requested by internal and external partners.
  • Facilitate execution of local product donations and transfer of assets needed for local events and sponsorships.
  • Other duties as assigned.

BREW THE PERFECT CUP. Ideal candidates will meet the following requirements.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field.
  • Experience with grocery and/or foodservice channels a plus.
  • Highly entrepreneurial, willingness to roll up your sleeves, and demonstrates consistent initiative.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, highly collaborative with the ability to build solid working partnerships across functional groups.
  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects with strong attention to detail.
  • Skilled at using personal influence to achieve results.
  • Enthusiastic and passionate with a demonstrated ability to conceptualize and implement creative ideas that are measurable.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, event management and time management skills required.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Adobe Creative Suite a plus.
