Job Summary:

The Art Director will be responsible for leading and contributing to superior creative concept and execution for Corporate self-promotion as well as for clients level across all touch points including video, web, digital, social media, print and more. The AD will establish and maintain the consistency of the brand’s expression, ensuring that it builds equity in look and feel, and always reflects the strategic direction supplied by the CEO/Marketing, and client and agency partners. A thinker as well as a doer, conceptual skills are equally as important as craftsmanship. The AD shows strong understanding of design, layout, typography and production in both still photography as well as video-based (film, animation, motion graphics, etc) formats.

Primary Activities and Responsibilities:

  • Full accountability for all creative projects, Corporate and Client

  • Provide hands-on conceptual design, production and execution for a variety of projects ensuring that deliverables are of high-quality design, artwork and layouts within corporate guidelines

  • Evaluate the look and feel of any communication piece and provide alternative solutions, lateral thinking to stretch boundaries and redefine creativity

  • Acts as primary client contact / liaison to collaborate with internal and external teams and project management

  • Direct outsourced partners, as required, in the production of all Media projects (web, digital, print, OOH, client proposals, etc…)

  • Ensures creative messaging and asset development aligns with media plans and execution

  • Works with agency planning and data teams to strategically inject creative influence to media audience development

  • Assists in the sales presentation of creative projects to prospective clients

  • Creates pre-production creative material including scripts, shot lists, storyboards, and visual references

  • Directs creative projects, collaborating with internal team members and contractors

  • Oversees the post-production process of creative projects including media management, editing, graphics, and delivery

  • Successfully translate a core idea at the brand equity level across multiple formats and media

  • Able to think and execute with a digital-first mindset

  • Help to manage and guide the production efforts in all relevant formats

  • Serve as a key voice in defining conceptual creativity for assigned projects; supervise designers on execution of assigned projects.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to successfully balance corporate and client responsibilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Organizational and time management skills a must

  • Must be self-motivated and able to work well with company staff from all levels, vendors and sales team members

  • Must be able to handle short deadlines

  • Must be able to manage multiple projects and adjust priorities as the needs of the business unit change

  • Understanding of web standards and ability to solve cross browser compatibility issues

  • Ability to be a self-starter, be attentive to details, and work independently

  • Ability to establish rapport and relationships with individuals at all levels internally and externally

  • Willingness and ability to adopt new technologies and processes in order to adapt to rapidly changing business needs and industry trends


  • 3 to 8 years Graphic Arts and Art Director experience

  • Full mastery of the Adobe Creative Suite

  • Demonstrated network of creative professionals to delegate/outsource production as needed

  • Experience with video production, video ad creation

  • Proven experience with concept development

  • Highly skilled with leading a team of creative talent

  • Strong creative vision with an understanding of marketing objectives

  • Copywriting a plus
