Job Description

Job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Must have 10+ years experience in the scrap recycling industry
  • Must have experience with sorting and grading of ferrous/non-ferrous material
  • Provide support to successful completion of work
  • Safely and efficiently operate all heavy equipment such as: small forklifts, large forklifts, excavators, skid steers, front-end loaders, and other related equipment
  • Perform periodical safety, maintenance or servicing checks to ensure proper functioning of the equipment as well as perform minor repair works
  • Be able to locate and advise upper management or repairmen on major repairs or maintenance
  • Work in adherence to safe practices, procedures, work site or traffic laws
  • Maintain a database in the computer to record daily activities, inventory chart, etc
  • Report to upper management
  • Must be able to pass a drug screening as well as a background check
  • Ability to work in teams
  • Ability to communicate and interact both verbally and written
  • A keen eye to details and good decision making skills
  • Manage to handle emergency situations, work pressure and stress
  • Ability to complete work projects on time and in an effective manner
  • Possess a deep analytical understanding and problem solving skills
  • Devoted in following code of ethics
  • Can work independently with minimum supervision
  • Good relationship building ability
  • Flexible to work during odd hours if need
  • Perform other duties, as and when assigned
