JOB TITLE: Capture Manager

The role of Capture Manager within Red Gate requires daily demonstration of our core values: Mission-Driven, Agile, Grit, Initiative, and Collaboration. Working in the highly competitive Federal marketplace, our Capture Managers are given maximum latitude to identify, build, refine and propose innovate services and solutions to tackle our customer's critical requirements.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively across the entire Red Gate leadership team, reporting directly to the Chief Growth Officer (CGO). Within this team, he/she will share overall responsibility for business development and capture strategy, planning and execution for mid-tier opportunities (~$20M-$50M) across a variety of Federal customers but focused principally in the Departments of Defense and Homeland Security. He/she will be expected to manage a pipeline of opportunities and is eager to excel in a metrics-based performance assessment environment.
Responsibilities include market analysis, opportunity identification, qualification, positioning and marketing aspects of a complete capture that will lead to the award of programs. This position will include oversight of customer contact and positioning; teaming interactions; solution development; and coordination with operations, contracts, finance, business development, and proposal resources available across Red Gate.
Experience with customer relationship management, bid positioning, and opportunity tracking as well as experience with a variety of contract types including cost plus fixed fee, fixed price, award fee, and performance-based contracting are key. Ideal candidates will also experience with competitive pricing and pricing strategies.
This position is based in Chantilly, VA and will require some business travel as needed to support customer conferences and symposia, as well as engagement of partner companies.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or a related discipline
- Shipley, SM&A or other capture/BD training preferred
- 5+ years experience in Federal Business Development / Sales and/or Capture / Proposal Management.
- Demonstrates initiative and the ability to work independently
- Highly effective interpersonal skills to collaborate with technical leaders and business executives within Red Gate, with the customers, and with teammates and subcontractors.
