Job Description

Red Carrot is seeking a Marketing Manager to join a team supporting a variety of federal government clients. The Manager will be responsible for managing client relationships and developing new business with an emphasis on strategic communications, advertising, and digital marketing. This role will lead the implementation of national integrated communications campaigns. This role is based in Florida or the DC region. This position is Remote.


Client Relationships

  • Monitor client business daily/weekly to ensure strategy & metrics are successful
  • Evaluate and analyze data, including developing succinct, accurate summaries and analyses of research that include strategic recommendations for clients
  • Develop strong relationships with Client(s) establishing regular communication to ensure expectations are met
  • Keep Agency management informed of the status of Client relations, including personnel changes and issues pertaining to Agency performance
  • Direct/coach team on marketing/advertising efforts
  • Ensure compliance with the Scope of Work
  • Develop client monthly reporting
  • Oversee client budget, manage costs and deliverables as well as staffing resources

Marketing Projects

  • Develop strategic marketing communications/advertising plans
  • Prepare and present materials for and participate in meetings, including creative, media, and promotional plans
  • Develop regular competitive reporting for Client review.
  • Develop objectives/strategies for market-specific launch plans utilizing media-provided added-value opportunities
  • Stay updated with industry news (magazines, websites, etc.)

Creative Involvement

  • Develop and review creative brief(s)
  • Work with the creative and account teams to develop the most effective method of presenting advertising to clients
  • Review all creative concepts to ensure marketing and creative work is on-strategy and on-brand
  • Facilitate the development of appropriate creative concepts for special projects


  • Develop comprehensive interactive strategies to include website development, content management, and social media
  • Identify and execute social marketing opportunities
  • Provide new digital media opportunities to enhance the client’s awareness and KPIs


  • Balance client demands with participation in broader agency initiatives
  • Work with business development to develop RFP responses
  • Identify new business opportunities and lead appropriate agency response
  • Proactively identify and pursue opportunities to grow existing business
  • Utilize Agency resources to develop plans to grow business

Additional Duties

  • Mentor and directly manage junior team members
  • Manage client objectives, expectations, and timelines
  • Manage project timelines and monthly reporting
  • Identify potential project risks and develop contingency plans
  • Identify opportunities to improve programs/tactics and enhance offerings to clients
  • Provide strategic support and tactical recommendations as needed
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Must have at least a bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of experience leading and implementing integrated marketing strategies
  • Must have had direct reports
  • Must have Federal Government contracting experience
  • Proven track record managing teams and projects
  • Data-driven and focused on results
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
  • Well-organized with a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to travel up to 10%
