Job Description

Recruiting Heroes LLC is seeking a motivated and experienced Senior System Engineer for a full-time position. The Sr. Systems Engineer will provide support for the Global Command and Control System Joint (GCCS-J) Software Sustainment and Modernization program.


The Sr Systems Engineer will provide the technical skills and knowledge to support the development and integration requirements of the GCCS-J SSM contract. The objective of the GCCS-J Systems Engineering Support task area is to establish the technical framework for delivering materiel capabilities to the war fighter. SE ensures the effective development and delivery of capability through the implementation of a balanced approach with respect to cost, schedule, performance, and risk using an integrated, disciplined, and consistent process. The scope will include System of Systems (SoS) to the fullest extent possible and wherever applicable. The Subcontract shall aid Leidos to design, develop, demonstrate, and deliver a system which is capable of operating in a cloud-hosted environment and also supports a configuration which can be deployed as a local node that is deployed and operated by cognizant local staff.

Duties will include supporting the Prime Contractor's Chief Engineer in team-wide system engineering activities and directly performing technical activities as assigned. Follows standard practices and procedures in performing systems engineering processes and procedures. Efforts to coordinate tasks within the program management, software development and collaboration environments and across the mission application/services being supported are included.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • US Citizen with active Secret clearance
  • 8 or more years of experience in a relevant field
  • Experience in DoD and military software development environment
  • DoD 8570 compliant certification
