Strategic Planning teams keep the company moving in theright direction by leading the strategic business planning process andspearheading transformational projects across businesses and geographies.Embedded in teams across the company, strategy professionals explore complexbusiness issues; conduct consumer, competitive and market analyses; createfinancial models and develop action plans.
Responsible for the development, planning, implementation,and evaluation of short- and long-term business strategies and marketinitiatives.
- Marketplace & Consumer Analysis: Provide research and analytical support for strategicinitiatives and special projects related to marketplace growth.Workindependently to design and lead research projects related to market trends,consumer profiles, and competitive intelligence. Direct and execute analysisand due diligence for new business opportunities. Conducts environmental scans,organizational positioning analyses and other studies.
- Strategy Development & Performance Management:Coordinate the process of developing strategic initiatives and objectives forthe current year and the 3-year Strategic Plan at the Geography Level, andco-work with business units/functions to ensure objectives are aligned andintegrated; Identify relevant measures and drive accountability for on-goingperformance against business and strategic objectives by preparing for and helpleading Quarterly Business Review process.
- Business Planning Process & Project Management: Coordinate major planning process milestones anddeliverables; drive small-scale business planning process in which all gatesand dates are clearly understood and that result in all Corporate planningdeliverables being met.
Work with finance, category, and functional entities toprepare for quarterly checkpoints and strategic retreats. Provide projectmanagement support to cross-functional teams and other special projects ofstrategic importance to Nike’s growth and profitability.
