ReNuke is seeking RCTs with all levels of experience (2 years plus) (RCT 1-5) for long term positions.

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION / QUALIFICATIONS: Provide radiological control functions primarily supporting field work including contamination and radiation control in work areas/processes, area posting, and area radiological monitoring for access/control purposes, radiological release of items/materials, surface surveys for radiological characterization, monitoring, analyses and tracking of radiological doses/exposures. Perform special duties in the evaluation of radiological protection for personnel, environment, or project area. Prepare and maintain records and documentation as required; and provide assistance in the preparation of radiation control documents such as RWP's, ALARA forms, and work procedures.

*Perform workplace surveillance of radiological conditions by conducting routinely scheduled monitoring and surveys.


*Support and oversee work activities to ensure compliance with radiation work permits and procedures.


*Perform contamination surveys for removable and fixed contamination.


*Perform external radiation surveys for deep gamma, shallow beta/gamma, and neutron radiation.


*Perform surveys to release items and equipment from radiologically controlled areas.


*Perform air sampling and operation of air monitoring equipment.


*Assist with planning of radiological work and recommend controls.


*Respond to off-normal radiological events (e.g., contamination events, CAM alarms, etc).


*Document and report routine and off-normal conditions.


*Perform overtime work on an as-needed basis.



REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum 2 years of recent experience as an RCT, RPT at a commercial nuclear power plant or DOE nuclear/hazardous waste site required. DOE Core card or NPPRT certification required. Must be able to obtain Q clearance once on-site.
