Job Description

Position Summary At ReHealth Cardiac, the Exercise Physiologist (EP) works directly with the cardiac rehabilitation team to help provide comprehensive care to patients who are recovering from cardiac events. The exercise physiologist's duties include planning, coordinating, and implementing individualized exercise prescriptions and educational programs with the goal of optimizing recovery and rehabilitation for patients with complex needs, including coronary artery disease, heart attacks, stents, chest pain, and heart failure. The ideal exercise physiologist will have clinical skills including assessment, exercise prescriptions, supervised exercise training, assessing patient symptoms, and monitoring vitals such as heart rate, blood pressure, EKG strips, and blood glucose.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or related field of study
Master's degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE: One of the following: A. Evidence of formal internship completion in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, cardiac stress testing, and exercise prescription OR B. One year of exercise physiologist experience in Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation or a clinical cardiovascular setting

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS:

American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) (required)
American Heart Association ACLS (required)
ASCM Clinical Exercise Specialist Certification (CES), and/or ACSM Register Clinical Exercise Physiologist (RCEP), and/or AACVPR Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional (CCRP) (preferred)

7:30am - 5:00pm
