Clinical Exercise Physiologist - PRN

POSITION TITLE: Clinical Exercise Physiologist - CPET testing and Cardiac Rehab

POSITION SUMMARY: At ReHealth Cardiac, the Clinical Exercise Physiologist (EP) works in two primary areas, first is in the Cardiac Rehabilitation clinic where the primary roles are to develop exercise prescriptions and monitor exercise EKGs alongside the cardiac nurses. The second is in the cardiopulmonary exercise stress testing (CPET) lab where he/she will monitor and perform CPET testing for high-risk cardiac patients with varying stages of cardiovascular disease and heart failure. The ideal candidate will have strong 12-lead EKG prep and interpretation skills, conduct maximal cardiopulmonary exercise testing, exceptional experience in cardiac rehabilitation, health risk, appraisal, comprehensive fitness testing, exercise prescriptions, working in a clinical environment, and have a strong desire for helping others achieve their health/wellness goals.  
 EDUCATION: 

• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or related field of study
• Master's degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE: One of the following:
A.   Evidence of formal internship completion in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation and exercise prescription OR
B.    One year of exercise physiologist experience in Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation or a clinical cardiovascular setting

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS:

• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) (required)
• American Heart Association ACLS (required)
• ASCM Clinical Exercise Specialist Certification (CES), and/or ACSM Register Clinical Exercise Physiologist (RCEP), and/or AACVPR Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional (CCRP) (preferred)

HOURS: 
Monday through Friday 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM
