Job Description: Warehouse Manager

Position Overview:

As a Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all warehouse operations to ensure efficient and organized handling of goods and materials. Your primary focus will be on optimizing processes, maintaining inventory accuracy, and promoting a safe and productive work environment. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a proven track record of managing warehouse operations effectively.

Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI with POLY

Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse Operations Management:

Develop and implement strategies to enhance warehouse efficiency, productivity, and accuracy.

Coordinate and oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods and materials.

Monitor and optimize workflow processes to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.

Inventory Control:

Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counting and stock reconciliations.

Oversee the proper storage and handling of materials to prevent damage and loss.

Implement inventory management systems to ensure optimal stock levels and efficient stock rotation.

Team Leadership and Development:

Lead, motivate, and train warehouse staff, fostering a positive and high-performance work culture.

Assign tasks, set performance goals, and conduct performance evaluations for warehouse personnel.

Provide coaching and guidance to team members to improve their skills and productivity.

Health and Safety Compliance:

Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations within the warehouse.

Conduct regular safety inspections, identify potential hazards, and implement corrective actions.

Educate warehouse staff on safety protocols and best practices to prevent accidents and injuries.

Quality Assurance:

Implement quality control measures to maintain the highest standards for product handling and storage. Collaborate with other departments to address quality issues and resolve customer complaints effectively.

Equipment and Facility Management:

Oversee maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment to ensure proper functioning.

Monitor facility conditions and implement improvements to ensure a clean, safe, and organized environment.

Budget and Cost Management:

Assist in budget preparation and manage warehouse-related expenses to optimize cost-effectiveness.

Identify areas for cost savings and process improvements without compromising quality or efficiency.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Proven experience in warehouse management or a related supervisory role.

Provide Warehouse coverage during Core hours of 0800-1600 M-F.

Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and best practices.

Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control software.

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Understanding of health and safety regulations and willingness to promote a safety-first culture.

The following position is to join our Corporate or Research Center Team:

Requires practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects and tactics within one work area.

Typically has broad knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organization.

Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience

Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
