Mission:

The Structural Designer develops innovative and visual stunning retail-ready point of purchase display solutions for our customers.

Success for this role translates into coordination with Account Management, Customer, Sales and Project Managers to translate project into creative structural design solution.

The speed to market that is an industry differentiator for Rapid Displays will continue as the markets we serve grow and evolve, and this role plays a key role in making that happen.

The Structural Design department will function as a team and will learn to back up each other so that as demand shifts, so does our capacity.

The main areas of responsibility are:

· Assess information provided by the customer, Sales department, and Project Manager and translate it into a creative structural design solution.

· Design and produce visual communication in a variety of formats and materials, including structural prototypes of packaging, and product mockups.

· Prepares Finished digital art by color and digital high-resolution images and files

· Championing continuous improvement practices

The position will report to the Director of Structural Design

Outcomes:

· Constantly deliver prescribed outcomes in a timely and accurate manner with appropriate guidance.

· Manages and disseminates information, prototypes, and electronic files through the entire design process into production, assembly and placement.

Required Experience:

· Knowledge of the POP industry, 10 of structural design experience

· Experience in custom made to order process

· Demonstrated success in accessing and implementing processes and apply them when communicating with diverse groups of people when completing work projects.

· Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar drafting system, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, as well as prototyping equipment

· Bachelor’s degree in discipline related to functional work
