CAES has an excellent employment opportunity for a Facilities Maintenance Mechanic at our Exeter, NH location.

Job Overview

This role reports to the Facilities Manager for CAES/Space Systems Division – Exeter NH. The candidate will join the Facilities Team responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of two sites consisting of 360,000 square feet of production and office space. The ideal candidate is someone with strong experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously to maintain full functionality of the site(s) systems. The candidate must be a highly motivated and driven self-starter who has the ability to deliver on commitments.

Job Responsibilities

The Facility Maintenance Mechanic will perform preventative maintenance and testing of critical building systems as well as perform repairs and maintenance on machines, equipment and building infrastructure. The primary purpose of this position is to provide routine mechanical and electrical maintenance support to assure that facilities and infrastructure meet and exceed industry standards. . This position will be responsible for ordering necessary repair parts and maintaining inventory supplies and will be an integral part of the Cobham Facilities team.


Specifics

• Perform preventive maintenance and testing of critical building systems.
• Performs repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities, or on machines and equipment.
• Available off shifts and weekends to support building emergencies & production equipment emergencies.
• Can perform a variety of general tasks to include but not limited to painting, light plumbing, building upkeep.
• Order repair parts and maintain inventory supplies.

Qualifications

Associate degree or equivalent work history
Able to use & manage extension and step ladders.
Able to work overtime and be responsible for on-call service every 4th week.
Able to work from drawings, sketches, blueprints and or verbal instructions.
Able to acknowledge limitations and refers complex issues to higher levels.
Able to lift 50 to 75 lbs.
Good basic math skills.
Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite.
Good manual dexterity.

Preferred Qualifications

• Eight (8) years’ experience in a related specialized field.
• Experience in building energy management and operating systems
