Permanent position The Quality Engineer provides support on assigned programs and/or areas to ensure that the product is designed, procured, and built in accordance with customer and division quality requirements. Also responsible for providing support for new systems development, implementation, procedures, and any related quality activity. The role will require extensive writing on instructions and procedures along with spot checks. Quality company in north Sacramento, CA with 401(k) and numerous paid holidays. Responsibilities for the Quality Engineer - Develop and write instructions for new procedures- Assist in implementation of quality policies and procedures- Develop inspection and test procedures along with work instructions- Provide technical support to suppliers, engineering, and the customer service department as needed- Based on quality trend analysis, identify opportunities for defect-reduction and provide technical support as required- Assist in the preparation of proposals in support of contracts- Adhere to all AAR Composites Safety Procedures and Safety AccountabilitiesRequirements for the Quality Engineer - Associates degrees in materials engineering, preferably a BS in materials engineering, or five years composite experience in lieu of a degree- ASQ Certification (like certified Quality Inspector) or certification in NDI Level 1, Level 2 in composites- ISO 9001, AS 9100 Quality Systems, and AS 9102 First Article Inspection Conformities all preferred- Experience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T) and blueprint readingBenefits - Health, dental, and vision benefits- 401(k) match program- 11 paid holidays- PTO program
